My name is Michael and I love beer. 

I’d venture to say that beer is my first love. My wife knows this and she seems to be okay with it. In fact this site was her idea. After enduring my hundreds of iPhone photos of strategically placed, half empty beer glasses and bottles, she decided enough was enough.  Time to find a home for these beautifully shot images. And, I get to write about each one of these lovely brews. Bonus!

I have been a subscriber to Beer Advocate magazine since 2006. I have mad respect for it’s founders and editors, Jason and Todd Alstrom.  However, I usually find that the bulk of their reviews deal with “Big Beers”, the Doubles and Trippels and the like.  I have had my share of those beers and love an occasional Belgium or two.  However, my passion is for full bodied Sessions, Lagers and Ales. So, I hope to bring some of my experiences to this site.

I’ll be sharing my pics and reviews of beers, bars and restaurants I’ve loved from my travels in the U.S. and around the world.
